07.25.08 When Traveling With A Guitar
When traveling with a guitar, it is likely you will need access to a roll of duct tape and it is less likely, but still possible apparently, that your guitar’s case will snag on the handrail of an escalator and the forward motion of said escalator will rip your guitar case a new one. Be advised.
Also, I’m heading to Ft.Lauderdale. See some of y’all there I hope.

I remember when the more beat up the case the cooler I thought I was… now I own a humidifying, hard shell, gorilla proof drive on it with a semi-truck guitar case and I don’t trust it either…

Hi. I’m sorta new here, but I like your posts
And I was excited to see your mention of FTL because I live in south FL! In fact, I’m currently in Naples, but I checked the Tour page (I left a comment there, too) and it appears that the Naples show is canceled? :( Also, Coral Springs is in between FTL and Naples; seems a little weird how the schedule worked out

Ah, yes, I need to hire a new Tour page updater guy I guess. Sorry about that.
The Naples show has moved. It’s now at 7PM at…
Covenant Presbyterian Church
6926 Trail Blvd.
Naples, FL 34108
Again, sorry. It was booked while I was on vacation and refusing to check e-mail. See you there?

At least it wasn’t a soft case.

How exactly does a guitar case get caught on a hand-rail. I can’t really picture this in my head.

Dude you need a new case! The guitar escaped safely though which is a blessing.
Years ago, the wonderful Robin Mark was leading a worship evening in our Church and he dropped his guitar at soundcheck. The floor was indeed concrete and the guitar smashed into about 3 pieces. Duct tape did not fix that one sadly........................
