Hmm, that is a bit vague isn’t it?

A few hundred unique visitors a day, let’s say.

not sure how “widely read"… but daley hake is pretty stinkin’ talented!

I think it’s just daleyhake.com

kinda weird to recommend a stranger to another stranger....strange.

I think you could reach 90% of the blogging community with Pioneer Woman’s blog.  Who doesn’t read her?

I would second Daley Hake.  Excellent photographer.  Widely read in many communities, as well.

what’s the photographer wanted for/ what kind of photographer are you looking for? Maybe that would help narrow the field down a bit.....

What about Brody Harper? (http://brodyharper.com)

I was also going to suggest Daley.  Carlos Whittaker has several posts about him and his photography.  Check out his site, referenced above in several other comments.

Anna Carson @ http://annacpics.blogspot.com/

I love the way she “sees” and captures life (and “stuff").

I think it’s funny that Brody got into the mix. =) Although I would be recommending him, too. And Daley and Josh are the other two that came to mind right away.

Joshua Blankenship is also quite awesome, although I am unsure of the “widely read” part.

p.s. I also want to include Lauren Stonestreet. Her Flickr photoblog gets a lot of hits. She’s one of my all time favorites.

Not quite sure what you’re looking for, but the guy is crazy talented and has a massive readership for his blog.

Also, I’m nowhere near Chase’s readership, but I do alright myself. smile Let me know if I can help.

Try Jodie Allen out of St. Louis.  She may not get a few hundred hits a day, but she’s a young mom with an upstart business who takes really amazing pictures. You’d be doing one another a favor if you used her.

michael yon… he may be more of a reporter than a photographer, but he’s the guy who took the picture of the american soldier cradling the fatally wounded iraqi girl that has become so iconic.  he’s VERY widely read, but don’t know if he’s appropriate for what you’re looking for…
