01.24.07 They’re Here

The ”One Night in Knoxville” CDs have arrived!  I picked them up yesterday afternoon and they look great.  I’ll begin mailing them out next week.

REVIEWERS:
Christianity Today and a few other media folks have also agreed to give it a listen and consider reviewing.  If you’d like to review the disc for your site or publication, or need a copy to play on the radio, just e-mail me: shaunfanmail@bellsouth.net

FREE DOWNLOAD:
image The song “Miss Texas” from the disc will also be featured on MyFreeMusicFriday.com as a FREE DOWNLOAD Friday February 2.  The most downloaded song ever featured on the site was a Christmas ditty by Amy Grant.  I sorta kinda swore we could beat that record.  But it won’t happen without your help.  So please go there February 2 and download “Miss Texas” and spread the word.

RADIO:
Any radio station wanting to play “Miss Texas” and promote the free music giveaway can receive a free advance copy of the song by e-mailing me as well.

Thanks!

So when are you thinking we will get it in the mail? Just currious. I bought “White Flag” after asking you which one you liked best. And, well, still haven’t listened to it yet. But you can blaim this on Brant Hansen, I listent to him in the morning on the way to work. Also I still haven’t heard if you got the picture I emailed you at the “shaunfanmail” address. Anyway looking forward to the other cd in the mail.

Got the pictures.  Thanks.  I’m actually going to upload them to the Vault soon if you don’t mind.

I have several hundred CDs to mail out so I don’t know when exactly all that will be completed.  The goal is by the end of next week.

Feel free to use those pictures to do what you want with them bro.

I understand about the cd’s and will be patient, and would you like a short video of Brant introducing you that night? It has our friend Mike laughing really loud in the middle of the joke which brings that perfect uncomfortableness to the rediculous joke he told.

SB(had to do it since you put SG)

Well Fun. Go have a packing party to send out your CD’s and don’t forget that there is a 24 hr post office in Nashville. Trust me Robyn and I spent multiple hours there a few nights. Just grab you some Kryspy Kreme Hot Fresh Now Doughnuts on the way there and you’ll be fixed for at least 2-4 hours.

Sad to see “Without You” from the 2nd Show did not make the CD.  That was very moving.  There was a realness and almost desperation to the way you performed it that night.

Maybe it can make the Super Special re-release with bonus tracks - nudge nudge wink wink - (or at least be made available for download).  Looking forward to hearing the full CD (even without Without You).  -G

Sorry about that.  The disc is full.  It is over an hour of music.  Something had to go.

Yep, I figured you wouldn’t put that one on there. It just didn’t sound that good vocally (no offense Shaun).

These sound fantastic.  I am assuming by the fact that there is but a single guitar and single voice track that there was no overdubbing or studio “fixing” that went on here, which is really refreshing.  It preserves the subtle imperfection of an actual live performance, which is something to be treasured.  Can’t wait to hear it all- thanks for doing this.

Shaun,

Not that I’m not super excited about getting my cd, but save the postage and just bring it with you next month.  I’m going to send the free music link to the radio station here too.

My daughter was born one night in Knoxville.  I alredy love your music, and would get the CD anyway, but the title is a definite bonus for me.
