I have always heard how important our letters are from compassion, but I guess I never truly understood how important they are until I saw this.  I began to tear up with her when she held up her letters and began to cry.

Thanks for this.  We have a Compassion child, but we are so slack about writing her.  Conviction accepted.

We’re getting ready to sponsor a child.  I’m drawn toward Compassion but my husband prefers World Vision.  Do you have any specific reasons you recommend going with Compassion over another organization?

Shaun, thank you so much for sharing this video.  God called our family as missionaries to the Philippines and we arrived here in March.  You can see the situation of this girl’s family all over~sometimes it is overwhelming, so it is a blessing seeing her testimony & knowing that a difference can truly be made even through 1...I also have friends who sponor children here and I plan to share this video with them as well to encourage them that what they think is a little gesture is really making a huge difference in those children’s lives.  I have been reading your blog for sometime now and just wanted you to know that your ministry is a blessing!  Thank you for taking the time to share your life and your heart!  may God continue to bless!
