01.16.08 Obi-Los Kenobi

Yesterday Penelope painted my fingernails hot pink and last night I dreamt about Los.  Becky’s concerned about my sexuality.  But I assured her - and I’m assuring you - it wasn’t that kind of dream.

It was a dream about blogging (signs you blog too much?).

Los was a rabbi type figure in my dream, with a beard and robe and everything.  He was asking me my blog stats so I opened a fat notebook and started showing him all these figures and he just grimaced as if to say “I feel a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.” He was very disappointed.  I felt embarrassed beyond belief.

He then started unleashing all the secrets of the blogosphere. (I can’t share them with you here.  You’re not ready young Jedi.) Like how to get 1,000,000 in technorati authority.  And how to temporarily rig a web site so that anyone who visits it will be instantly redirected to your blog.

Then we ate fajitas with my mom and rode skateboards at a zoo and Los really sucked at that - the skateboarding, not the eating part.  But for a minute there, in the robe and beard, he was brilliant.

Inspired, I’m using the force today to update my blogroll once again (that long list over to the right there of links).  If you link to me but you’re not on the blogroll yet, let me know and I’ll add you.

Uhhhh, are you sure that was finger nail polish? This kinda sounds like something out of “Wayne’s World 2”. Was Jim Morrison and the Indian also there?

Very grateful, I am.

Pete W, I went to your site and I’m having a hard time finding a nav button that takes me to your blog.  I finally figured out to add /blog to your address, but is there a nav button on the homepage?  Driving me nuts - I had to ask.

Shaun, that is one of the funniest things I have read in a LOOONG time. It is so Los, too. He is the Obi-wan… maybe even the Yoda of the blogosphere (except that he’s not all wrinkled and funky like Yoda (but he IS phunky - maybe that’s it)).

Anyway, thanks for the great laugh (I am still chuckling) and the wonderfully random post.

My link is an old one. The new one is http://www.faywrites.com/. I changed URLs twice last year, confusing my three readers, before finally settling (and staying) with the current one. smile

I have a link to you, but I don’t know if I am worthy to be on the blogroll of a great blogging Jedi that dreams about blogging.  The pink fingernails are a nice touch though.

OK, yes, Ben, it was your idea and not mine!  Geez, you’re so needy.  Alright, I’ll say it: Ben is smarter than me.  There!  You happy?

When’s that blog of yours going up, by the way?  You do know that as an employee you must have a blog and link to me.  I did make that clear didn’t I?  Smarter than me, sure.  Supportive of your friends through linkage, not so much.

(Does this mean your computer isn’t sick anymore?)

My computer is still at MacAuthority. Thankfully one of my other jobs gives me another computer to use… so it’s been surfing your blog the past couple of days.

And, thanks for the props, but I’m pretty sure it was actually your idea. I’m just impressed to see you act so quickly on it. You never move that quickly when I need something. smile

Oh, and my blog work is on the sick computer. I’ll keep you posted.

I just started my very own blog today.  I think it’s about 30 minutes old right now and it even has one post!  The first thing I did after setting up this marvel of the 21st century was to add your link to my site.  I figure, that way if I’m lucky, more than just my husband will visit the site!

You may link to me if you like, but I will require medical attention if you do; just to recover from the shock of being so worthy as to be linked to by one so great!  (Wow! That was one lonnnng sentence)!

My site is: http://bulletproofliving.wordpress.com/
