Having grown up in Oklahoma as a white man, I can see this same situation being applied to the American Indians.  The U.S. has a pretty sad history.

Sorry for the buzzkill.  Just remembering a friend’s comment a few days ago about pioneers, sometimes Christian ones, and about how they so rarely leave the people they find better off, unless that’s just how we paint history.
