Technorati is a goofy thing.  I changed the link on my blog last Friday, but when I checked a minute ago on technorati’s links for the New Shlog it was not listed.  I’ve noticed them do this kind of thing constantly.

Does it have anything to do with whether the linker is a technorati member?

A few folks are linking to shaungroves.com/shlog/index.

Just saying.  Don’t know if I’ll see links to that address and be able to reciprocate.  They will get folks here though, and that’s good.  But only for me.  To get linked to I’ll have to see your link on technorati or on my stats program.

I’ve heard that you have to be a Technorati member for the link to count (I think it was Kat that told me that), but I am.  My link goes to http://www.shaungroves.com/shlog/ - don’t know if the www or the /index matter.  Like I said, I’ve seen this happen before.  Technorati has a habit of missing links from members to other members, not updating a members posts even when they have pinged them, etc.  Perhaps it should be written off to their being a little over-tasked for what their servers can handle.
