09.13.07 Free For Spring 2008
In the last 9 months well over 1000 children have been rescued from poverty through our shows representing Compassion International. It works like this: I play a show or speak in a church service at no cost to the promoter in exchange for the chance to talk about Compassion International for a few minutes while I’m there. We ask the audience to sponsor a child in the Third World for $32 a month. And they do. 10-20% of the crowd (almost) every night, in fact, decides to feed, clothe, heal, educate and introduce to Jesus an impoverished child.
Promoters get a free* show/speaker and kids get life.
It’s time to book some more. We’re now accepting offers for January, February and March of 2008.
Interested? Contact Ben Stewart at or call him at 615.519.5394.
And, as always, we’re making it easy to spread the word about this offer and hoping you’ll do so. Download a pdf flyer complete with embedded links to audio and video samples of the live show by clicking right here. And then e-mail it to every church leader, college activities director, campus minister and promoter you know who likes free stuff. Or link to this post directly. Thanks in advance for passing it on.
*Additional details: Promoters must provide one double hotel room (Hampton Inn or the like), one working sound system and sound guy, two merch volunteers, four bottles of water, one meal for two guys, and many hours of spreading the word about the concert. I’ll cover the travel expenses (with the offering I’m about to mention) and Compassion International will feed my kids. Buckets/offering plates will also be left at the back door (not passed around) allowing those who seek it out the chance to put gas in our tank.

We’re especially interested in doing more speaking (or singing and speaking) in AM church services and then playing a full concert at the same place that same evening. This is extremely effective at getting kids sponsored and increasing attendance at the PM show. The same is true of colleges willing to use me somehow on campus during the day and also let me play a full show that same evening. Very effective.
Would-be promoters who bring this kind of opportunity to us will go to the front of the line. This is the best use of our limited time on the road away from family.
Any questions about any of this?

Your above PDF link is bad.
But, I found it anyway and am forwarding it on.

Thanks, I’ll fix that. What would I do without such observant blog readers??

Are you up for another “spring” trip to ND? You’ve got the hat so you should be set.

You should totally come down here to Miami and play somewhere.
We need all the good concerts we can get.
