Father I thank you now for the healing that Gresham has already received! I stand on your word in 1 Peter 2:24 “who his own self bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness; by whose stripes you were healed.” I also thank you for providing Shaun with a safe trip back to his family where he is so greatly needed. I pray you will wrap your loving arms around this family now and hold them tight! Amen!

Abba Father, I stand in agreement with Misty’s prayer above!  (Also, please provide Shaun with every resource he requires to be the Daddy he needs to be today . . . wisdom, guidance, clarity, a nap, healthy food, a hug from Becky, etc. ) We love you Lord and we love the entire Groves family!  We lift them up to You today and trust You to take care of them!

Shaun...was looking forward to your show in Longview tonight, but your family is way more important. My prayers are with you and your family that God will restore Gresham in a way that only He can. May God’s peace flow over you and His spirit fill you in your time of need.

Kawasaki Disease (which I mentioned as a possibility back on the “Today’s Plan” thread on Wednesday) is an immune process that generally occurs during or just after you’ve had an infection.  Vanderbilt has an excellent children’s hospital, and Gresham was diagnosed early enough that he should do well with the treatment they’ll be giving him.

Lots of prayers for Gresham, for you and the family today.

Hey Shaun, it was great to see you last night. You did an awesome job considering all that was on you mind. I know you kept wondering if we where awake out there, and I know that atleast my family was. We don’t go to that chuch but wow what a great welcoming they gave for all the guest.  There praise and worship music group was great.  I think sometimes we could all use a little pick me up like that. I wish we could have visited longer and wish I had had more old pictures to share and reminisce about, maybe next time. I knew you needed too and wanted too get home as quickly as possible. Kisses, hugs and prayers to Gresham and the whole gang. God bless and hope to see you again soon, I’ll be sure to come to another concert before 5 years is up again.

Jacobi and I thoroughly enjoyed your show last ight and after reading your comments from b/4 the show.  Our church and and youth crave to hear music like yours.  Our church has a big heart and we are all praying for your son and your whole family!  God had you there for a reason last night.. “Gresham is already doing much better this morning.  They got drugs in him late last night and this morning his fever finally broke!  They say he’ll be home Sunday.  The test on his heart showed no damage either.  Things are looking up.
Thanks for your prayers.  All is well.  I’m almost home.” “I,m pulling into the hospital now.”

Your entire family is in our prayers...my son was airlifted from our home two years ago and stayed in the PICU for 51 days, so I can completely understand what you guys are feeling…

I’ve been praying for you guys here in Minnesota. Glad to hear he is going to be ok.

Jenny & I will pray for you and your family!  We are coming down to Nashville next month to meet a friend and will be there in Cool Springs area if you need anything at all.  Love and a hug to Gresham from us.  PS: My sister is a doctor for Lilly if you need any help researching drugs or procedures.

Update.

I know Shaun has been at the hospital all night and isn’t able to update this.

I talked to Shaun this morning and he said that Gresham is back to his normal self, and ready to come home.  At the point that I talked to him he said they were just waiting to hear when they could leave. 

Aside from recovering from a week of not eating well, and having a fever, he is feeling better.

I know that Shaun and Becky appreciate all the prayers and comments.
