You got to love that Steven Bush!!

So what kind of big boy camera and what kind of photo tips did you get?

Photography is my creative outlet (not a fancy smancy singer-songwriter) and I am always looking to learn more.  Steven’s work is great and I will take some tips from what I see in his photos.  Look forward to seeing what you produce with the big boy toys…

I’ve got a Nikon D-70, Chris and I don’t know what any of the buttons on it do.  Steven just walked me through what everything does - very beginner stuff for folks like you, I’m sure, but HUGE help for me.

He also recommend some software for post-production but I can’t afford that right now...nor would my computer hold it.

What do you shoot with?

Like Christ above, I am a huge photography enthuiest (who is also a terrible speller).  I shoot on a D80 which is very similar to your D70.  I have a couple of questions for ya:

1. What lens are you using? (usually in the form of “25-200mm 3.5-5.6")
2. Which book did he buy you?

As to the post production software, photoshop is the best but crazy expensive.  Adobe lightroom is a good tool and not near as expensive.  However an awesome free tool that is almost as good as photoshop is called GIMP (http://www.gimp.org).

*EDIT* I in no way want to assume that Christ is a photography enthusiast.  I meant to say that Chris, the commenter above Shaun, loves photography.  Although, it would be cool if Christ was a photography enthusiast.

I shoot with a Pentax K100D - more of an introductory camera since I didn’t want to be overwhelmed by buttons that I didn’t know how to use. 

Taylor, it would be awesome if Christ loved photography, but since He made all the stuff that we take our pictures of, I guess He did even better!!

Bush is absolutely one of my favorite people as well.  I’m glad you two could get together and talk shop a bit.

He has great stories about his cameras, too.

I agree with you completely about Bush’s photography talent.  I have told him that if he ever lays down his camera I will hurt him.

Wow! He really is good. I am on a quest to become a photographer. When I grow up, I wish to be like Steven. Hehe.
