01.30.08 Bragging

I have to brag on someone for a minute.  Lynne Newberry is the promoter for a gig of mine in Ft. Lauderdale on March 3 who is doing everything possible to draw a crowd so we can save some more kids from poverty.  Lynn’s buying CDs to get out before I arrive so folks in the community will know my music and want to show up.  Lynn’s already booked me three radio station interviews.  And it’s not even February yet.

I’ve said before, the downside of doing shows at no cost to promoters is that sometimes promoters have less incentive to work as hard and creatively as they would if they had to make back some cash.  Lynne is an exception worth bragging on.
