Wow, today’s show is very thought provoking. The songs have been beautiful. Nancy, Your search for Easter music has yielded amazing fruit Thanks for your hard work.
Somehow, I knew that today’s show would include In Chrit Alone I Love this song!
Today’s True Story has sparked curiosity in my 4-year-old sister. I could not be smiling any bigger right now! This last song, though I do not know the title, kept saying “ He’s Alive!’ With big, round, bright brown eyes she looked up at me and said, “What is he singing about?” I told her he was singing about Jesus. To which she replied, “But Jesus is dead.” I told her, “No, he is alive. God raised him from the dead”. She smiled and said “ Oh, wow, I didn’t know that. I am sure more questions will come, and I have to say, I can’t wait!
Of all days, I had to get stuck in a two hour meeting. I wanted to be here listening with you!
You all really encourage me. I want God to use True Story to speak into the stories you’re living out in your own lives. I’m so grateful He’s doing that.
On this week’s True Story Radio, we’re thinking about the idea that “it’s not all about me.” Blessings. Suffering. What happens to us and through us is not all about us and our needs and growth. God uses the things He allows in our lives to also help or teach others, prepare future generations and glorify Himself. Listen for music from Charlie Dodrill, Chris Rice, George Rowe, Adie (aka Adrienne Leishing), Sara Groves, Salvador, Margaret Becker and more.
Hope you can listen today, right after Charley and Cross Driven Radio.
Hey everyone,
Coming up today, its an interesting mix with new music from Third Day and Brooke Barrettsmith. In the classic rock segment is a band I have recently discovered called Jerusalem. They remind me of Deep Purple (Ian Paice was a big part of the inspiration for an afro-mullett guy turned christian rock radio host to start playing drums many years ago)
I have some of them around the house somewhere.... haven’t seen them in a while though.. its a funny thing about getting older, the memory isn’t as good as it used to be… kind of like Henry Fonda in the show opener
I’m not going to be around much for the rest of the afternoon. One of the best bosses I have had is leaving the company and his reception is from 2:00. It always happens on Thursday afternoons, doesn’t it?
