Are you all catching Charley Hays’ “Cross Driven Radio?” He leads in to True Story and features a great mix of hard music and worship.

Please pray for Charley because he’s been having some serious, ongoing voice problems.

Thanks,

n

I will be praying for Charley, Nancy. Has he found out what’s causing these problems? I’m tuning in now, but kinda late for Charley’s show.  long face

I think the docs are trying to treat him, but it hasn’t been easy. It has been very discouraging and it sounds painful when Charley talks. He’s such a great guy. I hate it when my friends have health problems.

Thanks for praying.

In less serious news, did you hear that PSA that was on just before True Story started--the busy couple talking about everything they had to do in life and using FirstGov.gov to help?  I wrote and produced that in my “day job.” I have never heard WEBR air it before! Scared me when it came on.

No I didn’t because someone came in here with questions..don’t they know it’s TrueStoryDay around here?  Wish I had heard it.

Maybe I’ll play it at the half hour break on True Story sometime.  I have control over what plays at my half hour break but not immediately before or after the show.

That series of PSAs is totally cheesy...on purpose.  There’s a country music couple (used today), a hip city couple and a verrrrrrry sweet couple designed especially to air on Christian radio stations.  LOL  I think that may have been the first public service announcement from the government designed especially for “family-friendly” radio stations.

grin

The whole series of spots almost didn’t get recorded because a certain person in control didn’t like them when they read them.  So my ad agency’s creative director and I went up to this person’s office and acted them out.  This person has a very pronounced southern accent that I learned to imitate.  So when I read the female lead for the country spots, I used this boss’ accent and the boss ended up loving the spots.  WHEW.

Yes it does.  I think there needs to be a two hour break every thursday to listen to Cross Driven radio and True Story radio.
