Shlog Section-f

This week we are back with a brand new show featuring not 1, but 2 WORLD PREMIERES from Decemberadio.  That is one awesome CD!  Also, the series of 40 Day Fast interviews continues this week with P.D. Ross from pdross.wordpress.com and jesusgreaterthan.org in the first half hour and in the second half hour it’s Laura from texasinafrica.blogspot.com.

Next weeks guests are some people long time boardies will know, Brody from brodyharper.com and Amy from myfriendamysblog.com.

In August, I am waiting on final confirmation from a celebrity in the TV/Movie genre with a new book as well as a couple of bands.

Charley, loving the show so far today.  It’s so neat to hear the voices of people that we know on-line!  (I have my very own Jesus > Thirst shirt...I get so many comments/questions when I wear it.)

Thanks Cristy!  These are tough to do because it is hard to decide what to put on the radio, and what to save for the podcast.  Next weeks interviews with Brody and CaliAmy are among the best I have done.

Can you tell when I speak(not in the interviews) that I am pushing my voice to 12?

Did you catch the new Decemberadio?

I did catch the new Decemberadio, I’ve actually been here for the entire show today with the exception of someone walking in twice to ask me a quick question. 

I have no idea what pushing to 12 means… does it mean straining or something?  You did sound a little like you were whispering loudly at times and I wondered if you were having difficulties.  But I could hear you okay.  Are you having difficulties?

You, Kat, PD and Laura made the interviews sound very easy, like a phone call between friends.  Nothing unusual or tough sounding on this end.  Can’t wait for Brody and Amy next week!

Well, my voice has pretty much been shot all week.  I had to really force it to get it to sound half way decent.  It doesn’t hurt, except after I do these radio shows and have to force it.  The Renegade show is a little tougher. Your son would probably dig that station because they play some stuff harder than I do..

Yeah, I did notice that they’ve all mentioned Shaun.  (We saw Shaun last night at the ChikFilA here in Indiana, btw.)

Sorry to hear about your voice, hope it gets better soon!  My son has moved to listening to almost all acoustic recently. He also bought an acoustic and pretty much laid down both electric guitars and hasn’t picked them up in months. 

Again, great show and I’m really looking forward to next week!

Nancy, I’m enjoying your show, too.  I’ve heard this one before, and it’s one of my favorites.

Is anybody here but Charley and me here today?  I got a PM from the rocketown message board from Kim A. asking me if today is True Story Day.  I told her yes and gave her the info about CDR also, and told her to join us here.

I’ve been bouncing back and forth today.

New shows begin again next week.  Yay!!!!

I wish that I had been able to catch today’s shows.  I decided to head back a day early from DC so I can visit my grandparents in Michigan. I hope that in the future there will be a rebroadcast of today’s shows. 

Charley, is there any chance that your interviews with brody and caliamy will be done as a pod cast in the near future?

I had a choice to make last night. I was working on this week’s show and the phone rang--a quick call, I thought, so I took it. My friend on the line ended up needing to talk about serious things for quite a while. When we hung up, the radio station was closed and this week’s True Story remained unfinished and undelivered.

I’m sorry, you guys.

It’s been difficult to get shows done farther ahead of time. I’m going through an exhausting time with work and home and I’m feeling discouraged that I haven’t been serving you well enough with True Story in recent months. There hasn’t been enough of me to give and I guess I’m not sure at this point how to move forward. Or if to.

Sure appreciate your prayers.

An encore performance of True Story is MUCH BETTER THAN a day with no True Story

Today’s show is a show I am thankful for in more ways than you know.  If you have read my blog, you would know that this has been a pretty trying week. 

Nevertheless, I am thankful that these interviews were pre recorded and make for an awesome show.  Today we feature interviews with people well known around the boards on this site.  In the first half hour, it is Brody Harper (Shaun’s former Road Manager) and Amy, known on the boards as Cali Amy.  They are both great people that are really fun to talk to and have great stories to tell, and they do so with passion, which makes for great interviews. 

Music wise, I start with a tribute, and pick up the pace with rock from The Afters, Fee, Hawk, and a song from Brooke Barrettsmith that IMHO is a perfect reason to buy her cd.

I wonder if these interviews keep up the pattern of a certain soft rock stars name being dropped.  Hmm…

I am with you Charley, a encore show of True Story Radio is much better then any day without True Story Radio.

I have been looking forwards to this day ever since you mentioned that Amy was going to be interviewed.  It will be great to put a voice to a person who’s blog that I love reading.  I just hope that the phones do not ring and that my coworkers let me have some free time to listen.

Charley is you voice getting any better?  Been praying my friend.
