That is a good guess, but....................NOPE!  I have a new personal blog going up real soon, but that’s not the announcement either…

I’m going to be voice tracking to start out, and then doing some other stuff like spots as well. Its cool beacuse it will sound like I’m in Reno doing the show.

The music style is pretty similar to what I play, but I will miss having the flexibility to play what I want.

I have been praying for you all after seeing all of the flooding in Wisconsin and Indy.

Cristy, you going to see Hillsong United??

First of all, thank you for the prayers Charley.  We are suppose to get about 4” of rain today.

I feel kind of stupid.  I turn the speakers off so I could talk on the phone and I forgot to turn them back on.  Whoops

Well I need to get off the computer and take a look outside.  The tornado sirens are wailing away.

Thomas, praying for you!  We’re not supposed to get rain today, but more is coming tomorrow.  Tomorrow is Justin’s birthday and he’s had tickets to see Jack Johnson (outside) since February!  The concert is tomorrow, on his birthday, at 7pm.  The rain is supposed to come tomorrow, at 7pm.  He’s upset...not sure what to do.  I do the same thing, take out my ear buds to talk on the phone, then forget to put them back in!  DOH!

Charley, I haven’t heard anything about Hillsong United.  We don’t have a local Christian radio station anymore, I feel like I miss alot!  The only CCM station we have here now is KLOVE, and they don’t do much local coverage...and I don’t listen to them much.  Very cool news that we’re not supposed to know yet.  wink So far the flooding hasn’t affected our immediate area, but it has greatly affected the towns just south of us.  Thank you for your prayers!

Thank you for the prayers Cristy.

I did not see anything.  I misses it.  One of the guys got a call saying the a couple of tree were knocked down in his yard.  Another person I work with had to leave this morning to help his bother in-law.  His bother in-law was ordered to evacuate his house this morning.

Yes, I have to agree that it is harder to believe then not to. When difficult circumstances arise in the life of a nonbeliever it may be easy to pass it off and say that bad things happen. It’s just part of life, but as believers many times we wrestle with the huge questions of how a good God allows suffering, and the issue of God’s sovereignty in the face of circumstances that sometimes seems like nothing more then random chaos. . Somehow we have to fit this suffering and into our understanding of God and trust His goodness even when everything around us and within us screams that there is nothing good about what is taking place.

Another challenge that the believer faces is the fact that the unbelieving world around us is watching our response to or difficulties, and sufferings. And they are basing their belief in the gospel on what they see. I know for me this is a struggle. As
a human I am prone to discouragement What if an unbeliever picks up on that? What if my response is not completely grounded in my faith? What if I paint a distorted picture of the gospel?

This was one of my most favorite True Story episodes, Nancy. Again God showed up in timely fashion.

Have a safe and blessed weekend everyone. Keep pressing on for the greater glory of God and point one more person to Jesus.  Have a safe trip next week, Nancy. I look forward to hearing this show, in it’s entirety I hope, again next week.

Thomas, I am praying for you,

Smiley

I missed the whole party here today!

Work has reached new levels of crazy-busyness and I was locked away in a meeting instead of being with you here.  Thank you so much for listening. It encourages me so much when I hear that God’s using True Story.

I’m praying for my friends here who are hurting and for those who are being hit with those endless storms and floods.

Charley, congratulations on the voice tracking!  I’m so happy for you!!!  Soon you will take over all of the radio world. Well, not all...everything but True Story.  LOL

aaahhhh, CDR/TSR day, finally!  See you all this afternoon.

I’ll be missing out next week because I’ll be in Chicago for our annual meeting.

Not sure how much fun I’ll have, but Ken and Justin (+friend) are coming with me.  They’ll have most of the fun, while I’m in meetings.  1/2 day on Friday though, so we’ll get to have some fun before we come home.

Always happy to listen to a rebroadcast!

I really like this Skillet song and the lead-in story, Charley.

And the BarlowGirl version of Enough!  Saw them in concert a couple years ago, it was fun.
