If you’re new to this message board community, I wanted to invite you to listen to True Story Radio.

It’s a topical, weekly, one-hour show with a mix of music and laughs, discussion and interviews that you may not find on your local CCM-format radio station.

You’ll hear a big variety of music, including rock, singer-songwriters, bluegrass, jazz, urban, pop and even some CCM classics.

The thing I like best about producing True Story is that YOU shape what True Story Radio sounds like.  The weekly topics come from what we’re passionately talking about here and in other online communities and from the news.  The songs are from your list of favorites or new tunes that you’ve just discovered. During the show, many of us come back here to this thread to discuss what we’re listening to together.  True Story is very much an extension of this community.

For the last two years, True Story has aired in the Washington, DC region on the secular, free form station WEBR and online at http://www.fcac.org/webr .  We have active listener-friends in about 30 states and a handful of countries. And we’re working on plans to bring True Story Radio to a round-the-clock, online channel of its own so you’ll be able to tune in whenever it’s convenient for you.

But in the meantime, I hope you can carve out some time to listen to True Story Radio online, Thursdays @ 3pm eastern/2pm central on http://www.fcac.org/webr .

Your friend on the air,

nancy

I love my friends in the pacific time zone!  So you’re gonna have lunch with me today, Amy?  wink

Today’s show is Christmas music with a twist--contemporary tunes and new renditions of the old carols with songs from Relient K, Sarah Masen, Bleach, Third Day, Ginny Owens, Andrew Peterson, George Rowe, and more.  In the second half hour, all the music looks at what it must have been like to be one of the participants in the Christmas story--Mary & Joseph, the angels, even Jesus.

Hope you can listen!  grin

You’re just pouting because this is one of the few weeks that you don’t have a song on the show.

Now tuck that lower lip in or you’ll trip over it.

LOL

The entire fcac.org site is down.  It’s amazing how these things happen on Thursdays at this time, and on days that are already not so much fun.  Even when it’s not airing nationally, it’s still airing locally though, unless there’s a complete power outtage at the station.

BIG thanks to everybody who’s trying to tune in.  Today is a good incentive to work on getting the show onto its own channel online.

Appreciate you all!

I was bummed out when the station went off line today.  Here I am listening to Cross Driven radio and all of sudden it is gone. Once that happened, I figured True Story Radio would be off line to.  I was really looking forward to hearing the show today.

I am sorry, Nancy, for not being diligent with my prayers for True Story Radio.

Thanks Thomas.

I’d sure appreciate prayers as the plans are coming together for the next phase in True Story’s existence--that I’d step back from some other things that I’ve been spending more time than I really need to on, and use that saved energy to get the True Story online radio community up and running. Please pray for creativity too--I could use a fresh dose of that.

Thank you!

I do believe that True Story Radio will be starting in about twenty minutes.  I sure am looking forwards to hearing this week’s show.

Station’s down again. And no word on why. Won’t have to worry about that anymore, very soon. The new year will bring new things for True Story Radio.  Stay tuned for a 24/7 web radio channel and a few other online goodies, TBA… wink

Thank you for trying to listen today.  I am very much looking forward to the new year and to your getting to hear the show whenever you want to!!!!

Charley found the back door way of getting in to the station:

The audio quality is really bad, but the show is airing.  My mama can hear it.  LOL
