accident resulting in a few stitches

The last week and a half has been quite the whirlwind for me. With getting ready for a graduation party, spending time with friends, getting my Baclofen pump refilled and turned up, doing all the preliminary stuff that is required for returning to Romania, and just enjoying the warm weather, I have not had much time to slow down.

Not until this evening that is. When a simple accident while whishing dishes sent me to the ER for a few stitches in my hand. I was taking apart a travel mug (The outside can not be submerged) when my hand slipped and spliced the space between the thumb and the forefinger on my right hand.

It really was not too big of a deal. Though, if you have ever had to have something numbed up you know that it is not pleasant. In fact, after three shots of the numbing agent I still had some feeing and told the Dr. just to stitch it up. Don’t give me any more shots.

After all that I have been through in this last year this really is no be deal, but it does pose some concerns in regard to my walking. The stitches will be removed in 10-14 days. In the mean time. I need to be non-weight bearing on my right hand. Which means I will only be able to use one cane. That in turn will leave my balance a bit more off kilter then usual. Leaving me at a higher risk for falling. If I fall I will not be able to catch myself with just one hand.

Your prayers would be appreciated over these next couple of weeks. Thanks!

Ouch!  I’ll pray for your complete healing and good balance.

we’re fighting for what we already have received.
The already and the not yet, and it is a profound mystery.”

Thanks for your prayers. These last few days have been a challenge. I have fallen twice and ripped one of my stitches out. Having the ability to use two hands in a gift that I take for granted all too often.

I’m praying for you, too, Smiley!  Sorry I’m late...I was out of town and I’m just now catching up on the threads.
