Some of you may know this already, but the Sponberg’s lost their baby boy unexpectedly last night. Luke was only 2 months and 10 days old. Todd Smith (Nichole’s brother), said in an email that Nichole went in to check on him about 9:00 Central time last night and he was not breathing. Paramedics were called but little Luke could not be resuscitated. He is now in heaven with Todd and Angie’s baby girl whom they lost just seven short weeks ago.

Please keep both the Sponberg’s and the Smith’s in your prayers as they grieve with hope over the loss of their children. If you would like to leave a message for the Sponberg’s you can send a message to , or leave a message on the blog at http://www.gregandnicolsponberg.com/ To learn more about Todd and Angie Smith’s story you can visit:  http://audreycaroline.blogspot.com/ Thankfully, the righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them;He delivers them from all of their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenheartedand saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Psalm 34:17-18

What a heartbreak for both families.  I’m praying, Melissa.

(If the names aren’t familiar, Nicol Sponberg and Todd Smith are the original brother and sister part of the group Selah.)

I read that on Angie’s blog yesterday and it broke my heart.  I’ve been praying for both families.

Prayers PLEASE!  I spoke with my sister yesterday and things are not good.  My nephew, John, is more than half way through this round of chemo, but is having considerably more pain with these rounds.  He’s in tears much of the time and he’s not a wimp at all.  Please pray that he will find some relief.  On top of this, a very close friend of his died last Friday.  Brie was only 12.  She fought a short, but courageous battle with aplastio-amemia (I’m not sure that’s the right name).  She left behind her parents and her twin brother Alex. As if all this weren’t enough for one family to handle now, my brother in law, Jack is scheduled to have a port put in next week so he can begin dialysis.  His kidneys are failing fast and he’s in desperate need of a transplant.  My husband is in the process of being tested as a donor (I haven’t heard if I’m a candidate or not).  Please keep all of this in your prayers.  I know our Lord is mighty, soverign, and all-knowing.  His will is best and will prevail.  Pray for all of us to hold on to this knowledge.

On a positive note, I saw my doctor yesterday and I can begin to come out of my fracture boot this week and move to regular shoes as tolerated!  Yeah!  I’m healing much faster than expected and I never though I’d be so grateful for an honest to goodness stand up on my own shower.  I got one today and it was wonderful!

Beth, I read John’s blog yesterday and I’ve been praying for him and your family, and also Brie’s family.  I wasn’t sure if Brie was a relative or a friend, thank you for clarifying that.  I will also being praying for Jack, and your family as the dialysis and testing for a match begins.

Glad to you know that you are healing well!  (Glad to know you’re still blogging, too!  Haven’t had a chance to read your “book” yet, but I will.  LOL )

I’m praying too, Beth.  It sure seems to come all at once, doesn’t it?
