If I understand right, the amount of money received will depend on family size and income. I hope that most people realize that this money is not free money. If I remember right, the last time the government did this you had to declare the amount you received on the next years taxes.
The thing is I do not believe that this will help the economy. The last time the government did this most of the people I work with used it to get caught up on their bills. They did not use it to buy stuff as the government was hoping. This country is running too large of a debt and this is causing part of the economic woes this country is experiencing. The government needs to balance the budget. This will help stabilize the dollar. With the continue decline of the dollar products are becoming more expensive and causing people to go further in debt or they just are not buying any new products. This is hurting the economy.
