CMSpin Article about Casting Crowns

Check out the attached article from CMSpin about “The Altar and the Door” by Casting Crowns.  The last time I remember this much buzz about a new Christian album placing this high on Billboard’s Top 200 chart (#2 in the 1st week with 129,000 copies sold, behind only High School Musical 2) was in 1998 with “Supernatural” by dcTalk.  Good for Casting Crowns. They deserve this type of exposure and who knows, maybe music fanatics like me who see this album ranked #2 in the top 200 will check them out and get to know our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This album is a great testimony for Christians and seekers alike. What do you all think?  Shaun?

CMSpin Article about The Altar and the Door

In this era of retail music sales being down, I found this attached article about the new Casting Crown album going gold in 10 weeks interesting.  Barely makes my top 10 for the year but I did see them in concert last Friday night with Leeland and John Waller and I do respect them for their lyrics and particularly like the song “East to West” which seems to be the runaway favorite for the Dove Award for Song of the Year.  What do others think?

I’m sorry, I haven’t really heard it.  But good for them for selling a lot of cds!
