(Since it’s my post I’ll go first)
Triple R Ranch was stinkin’ ah-may-zing!! Met a lot of really cool people and I think I may do my youth ministry internship there next Summer (this coming up Summer). I worked in the barn with 70 horses, grooming and tacking almost all of them in an hour & half at 6:30 in the morning. At 8 we had devotions and Wednesday’s I got to do devotions which was fun. From 9 to 1 we taught riding lessons, showmanship, cowboy skills, vaulting, and horsemanship. At 2 in the afternoon we would saddle up and go and practice Drill team for Friday nights Showdeo sometimes we would go on a Wrangler ride which would consist of cantering sometimes galloping down the trails and going across ditches or over trees which I did come off Nahati (my horse who I love and miss a lot) when we jumped because I wasn’t sitting right. It was hilarious when I came off. On most Friday nights after Showdeo we would have a troughing party. Basically you get thrown in the water troughs that the horses drink out of in the holding pin. So much fun and it’s our initiation into being a Triple R Wrangler. On most nights being support staff we would hang out with the high schoolers and play games with them or do worship. I miss Triple R a lot even though the work was rough and hot somedays and I got stepped on or bitten by one of the horses now as I sit at my desk at school I long for those days. Can’t wait to see what God’s got in store for me this next Summer.
This is my boss, he is so cool! I could take up hours just talking about him.
These are my Gangsta’ Sistas aka: The Banditas!
This is Nahati he was my horse at the Ranch his name means Fireball.
End of the Summer party for 3R.
