Shlog Section-f

Hi, I’m a worship leader and I just saw for the first time a live acoustic guitar solo of Shaun playing and singing “After the Music Fades” from a youtube clip. I’ve heard the song on the Twilight CD before, but it was incredible to actually see it. I was trying to figure out how Shaun was playing the song, and it just got too complicated for me. I already know how to play the song using basic chords, but I’ve never even seen some of the chords Shaun was using. I was wondering, does anyone know of any resources, like a song book that I can buy to learn how to play it the way Shaun plays it? Thank you.

Yea, Jon, I use an open tuning.  There’s a youtube video I posted that teaches the basics.  Go to youtube.com/shaungroves and look for one called “alternate tuning.”

Maybe I need to make one for a few of the individual songs - a teaching thing.  The songbooks write just about everything in standard tuning, which I never use (except on Move Me).

Check out that video and let me know if you still can’t figure it out.
