1. TRUE. My nickname is Penguin, has been ever since I was little (because I waddled like a penguin, haha). Anyway, I usually get something with penguins for my birthday and/or Christmas every year… ornaments, figurines, “March of the Penguins” last year on DVD… anyway, they bought me a tap dancing Mumble toy from “Happy Feet.” He’s soooo cute! What’s funnier is that I tap dance, so it’s like it’s a mini-me, lol
Truth: I did craft projects with the kids at school today. I made string ornaments with Mackenzie’s fifth grade class and kalidescopes with Mary’s first grade class. We had a great time.
Lie: I’m teaching my last tax class tonight before tax season starts. My last class is actually tomorrow night. 3 hours of computer practice. I can’t wait to go away for the holidays next week!!
Truth: I’m watching tv when I should be doing laundry. Yes, I couldn’t resist watching a bit of tv before heading out to teach this evening, even though mounds of laundry await.
1. There are seven stockings hanging from our fireplace.
2. My cat Zoe thinks she’s a Christmas present, and snoozes under the tree a lot.
3. My mom has been collecting Dickens’ Village pieces from Department 56 for years, and now has a large village taking over a large portion of the dining room.
1. TRUE. While growing up, there were only four stockings, for my parents, my brother, and myself. Then last year my parents added a stocking for my sister-in-law. Then this year they added two for the foster kids
2. TRUE. Zoe likes to snooze under the tree. As well as play under it, which she shouldn’t since she might ruin the wrapping paper on the presents under there now
3. LIE. My mom has been collecting pieces for her large winter village… BUT it’s Department 56’s New England Village, not the Dickens village.
