Great Easter! Not too much chocolate though. The second peak of tax season has officially arrived and work is starting to get hectic again. A couple of weeks to go and I can cut back to part time!
Did you know that there is a certain type of beetle that is crushed and boiled to make a special dye that is put into some of the red foods we eat? It’s true. I can’t remember what it’s called, though.
Also, I hear some other dyes (I think it’s FD&C) are made from fossil fuels.
Kinda makes you want to eat colorless food, don’t it?
here’s a poem I just recently wrote (please don’t steal it)
It’s A Really Good Thing
Hey-a, how you doin’?
Everything hunky dory?
Or is it not so fine behind
As you smile before our eyes?
Well, the world’s not very well
As you may already tell
But you don’t have to live unsettled
Even though we all fell
We got a Savior coming
For anyone found willing
To hear the Good News talking
It’s a really good thing to be redeemed
Hey, you still available?
Cuz I have cola for your soul
A hope to blow your mind away
And show the way fully paid
Do you know about Love,
And how it came in flesh and blood?
Jesus Christ is God’s Son
You gotta know it: God is love
We got Salvation coming
For anyone found willing
To hear the Gospel talking
It’s a really good thing to be redeemed
In Jesus, God’s gift is to live
If anyone is interested,
Don’t leave with your friends
If you’re not sure where you’re headed
Please talk to us about it
And may your Maker reach joyfully
When you offer your hand willingly
To be redeemed; it’s a really good thing.
This very moment, right as we speak, ill-minded squirrals are in the process of silently taking over the world (I have David Crowder’s support on this one ) ...
I’m bored...wait, have I covered that already? It’s true though…
I’m sorry you’re bored. I hope you found something to do since you posted!
I’m taking a break from homework. I have a final project for my immigrant lit class, and I’m writing a personal essay about my sister-in-law (who is Chinese American). It’s almost finished, I think, but I want to make it longer, because in addition I have to write an artist statement using three of the books we’ve read and I don’t want to write a lot for it but in total everything has to be at least 10 pages (the statement 4-6) so if I get two more pages for my essay, I’ll only have to write 4 pages for my statement! lol.
Anywho, I have to present it tomorrow. The papers don’t necessarily have to be finished, but I’d like to get them mostly done if possible. That is if I get motivated to. I’ll do that after reading some posts on here. And maybe I’ll eat a snack. Then I’ll get back to work.
So on Sunday after church, I realized my state inspection thing expired in March. I haven’t been driving too long, so I’ve only had it done once, last year. People should have reminded me about it! lol.
Anyway, I called my mom and she said it was fine as long as I don’t get pulled over. But I didn’t feel too bad when she said that my dad had gone four months without getting it done one year.
Which brings me to my question… how long have you all gone without getting your car inspected?
(BTW, it’s still not done… I went this morning and there was a 2-hour wait since it’s first come first serve, and I couldn’t wait that long thanks to meetings and class. Looks like I’ll be getting up really early tomorrow morning to get it done!)

I went bright and early at 7:30 to get my car inspected. Thankfully everything was fine, except I needed my tires rotated. And the guy, who was really nice, said I needed to get my belt changed or fixed or something next time I get my oil changed.
The only thing was A) I was really tired and B) I had to sit and wait for over an hour. But there was a TV in the waiting room and so I watched The Today Show
Hey everybody, I’m working on a survey for a class in school. It would really help me out if you could take my survey (http://drewpearceonline.com/ecosurvey/index.php?sid=1), and get some of your friends to do the same. I’d really appreciate it.
