Yes, I write fiction. So I’m wondering if anyone else on here writes fiction, non-fiction, etc. etc. Why do you enjoy that kind of writing? Do you hope to have a book published some day? Would it be sold in Christian bookstores or not? If not, why not?

This is probably going to come as a shock to everybody here, but I like to write.

wink

My style has always been short-form, like essays (think David Sedaris but straight, female and cleaner language). But eventually I’d like to write fiction and longer form nonfiction (think Truman Capote but straight, female and hey...I see a pattern here LOL)

I also am casually studying screenwriting--some of the stories in my head I see in print; others work better visually.  And I want to be a better radio writer and storyteller.

I want to lace words together that people will want to hold onto and that they can grow and heal from reading.  I don’t want to mastermind the next Christian subculture fad; I want to write things that will endure, and that will minister to people who aren’t in the center of the Protestant American church culture.

I love writing!

In an ideal world, I would be really hilarious and able to write the first truly great Christian chick-lit novel.  Unfortunately, well.....

I love chick-lit best, and that’s what I try to write.  But I’ve noticed that most Christian chick-lit is, well.....
there’s potential for so much more.
I also write poetry occasionally and I write on my blog, and short stories.....

I love to write. In 7th grade I wrote a movie script for a cartoon show and actually sent it to Disney. They couldnt accept unsolicited work, though. But it was still exciting! And now I just write for fun and for school. I dont think I could make a career out of it, but definitely a hobby!
