Who’s excited about tonight?  I brought my camera smile Is anyone going to the songwriting thing?  I didn’t sign up for that, so I won’t be showing up till 7 or so.  I can’t wait to meet you all finally!

I plan on being there if I do not get lost or stuck in another traffic jam or take the wrong metro.LOL I believe that I am signed up for Shaun’s show.  I plan on being there around six thirty.

All I need to do is figure out how to get Alexandria so I can meet up with a friend.  He suggested that I should take the Metro and meet him at the metro center. confused

There is just one observation I have made so far and that DC drivers are crazy!!!!!  I use to think that driving through Chicago was bad.  I will take their 80 mph bumper to bumper over this DC traffic.

Aims, you will be missed tonight.

It was SO great to finally meet you all (Aims, Thomas, and Nancy).  I had a great time after the show chatting with you guys.  Fun times.

And Nancy - sorry I didn’t get a chance to say bye!  You brought the brownies by, then left, then never came back!  It was getting late and I needed to head back to my grandma’s.  I must say, your LaWanda thing was hilarious.  I should’ve gotten pictures… but I think Thomas took some?  And you have some on your camera as well.  You must post pictures from tonight so the rest of the board can see your get-up!

(I’ll post pictures too, hopefully sometime this week.  Just need to find the USB cable that came with my camera so I can get them on the computer...)

Thomas, have a safe trip back out west.  And I think Aims and her friends were heading back to camp tonight as I type this, so prayers for safe travels!!

Oh my goodness you guys, WASN’T THAT FUN????

I ran back to the green room to clean up and when I came back, everybody was gone.  I’m so sorry I missed saying goodbye!

Kristen and Thomas I’m so glad we finally got to meet!  And Aims, it was awfully good to see you again, cowgirl.

Pictures to come, as soon as I find the little wire thingy to connect the camera to the computer.

Long live LaWanda!

LOL

Saturday’s show was great. I did notice that Shaun changed his country crack story.  The next thing that was different from his other shows that I have attended was that he asked us to take a hold of someone next to you and to pray for them.  It seemed like out of no where two people came up and put their hands on my shoulders. This was shocking because no one was sitting by me.  While we were praying I fought back some tears because I never have had someone to pray for me that way.  The last thing that was different was that Shaun finished the night singing Step by Step by Rich Mullins.  As everyone left the sanctuary Amy stopped by and said Hi.  I sat there trying to figure out if that was Amy or not.  When leaving the sanctuary, Nancy began to say I know you. I know you.  Nancy was with Kristen, Amy and her friends.  I did managed to get some pictures, but I did not get one with all of us together.  Hopefully, Nancy or Kristen will post that picture.  Oh, LaWanda the truck driver did show up after the show.  She even got Shaun’s autograph.  I do wish that the rest of the boardies could have been there.  We need to have a board get together some time in the future. It was also great to meet the radioman Charley Hays and his family.

I just hope that LaWanda will not get mad at me for posting these pictures.

From what I understand, LaWanda is a real ham and will LOVE to see her picture here.  LOL

I passed my camera around to a half dozen people that night and everybody added some cool pics and perspectives of the evening.  Now, where IS that little wire that connects the camera to the computer????

It was great to see you guys in person...and to meet LaWanda.  She works at a truck “warshateria” in “Warshington”, Thomas.  She is NOT, apparently, a “truck DRIVER.” I don’t know that LaWanda is a stickler for the details but just in case…

I’ve never been more uncomfortable or more amused simultaneously.

Your smile in Thomas’ second picture says it all “This is funny.  Um, SECURITY!!!!!”

LOL

I have a guy friend who plays a trailer park queen onstage--big blonde beehive, muumuu, pantyhose,
the whole bit and it took me a few times before I was comfortable speaking to the character and not the
guy inside the dress.

Clowns and mimes scare the stuffing out of me though.  And Disney characters.
Oh please don’t make me pose with Mickey Mouse!  shock
