Euphrony, good call on “Unbelievable”. Coincidentally I was listening to that song this morning right around when you posted. That CD gets better every time I listen to it. If you haven’t already, I suggest you listen to Downhere’s last podcast (about a week ago) where they do a live performance of “Stir” which is great.
I’ve been meaning to check out that podcast for two weeks. Have not had the time to, yet. I saw them when they were here in Houston for a free concert three weeks ago, just before they did the podcast, but they did not play “Stir” there.
I love both “Sound of Melodies” and “Breakthrough”. Good choices. My song of the moment is “What Have I Done” by Adie. After a few listens, her new CD may be better than her husband’s (Jeremy Camp). I’ll post the lyrics in the words section.
*Gasp* I LOVE Breakthrough! It’s one of my top billion favorite songs! Nate Sallie rocks.
Jeremy and Adie Camp make a cute couple. (yeah, I know that’s random)
My song of the moment is...I don’t know. I’m currently listening to the album The Far Country by Andrew Peterson. I’ll probably post one of the songs in Favorite Lyrics.
Sara Groves’ “Kingdom Comes” blindsided me this morning. I’ve heard it a zillion times, but it snuck up on me today. The first verse seemed so appropriate, almost tailored, to me.
When anger fills your heart
When in your pain and hurt
You find the strength to stop
You bless instead of curse
When doubting floods your soul
Though all things feel unjust
You open up your heart
You find a way to trust
That’s a little stone that’s a little mortar
That’s a little seed that’s a little water
In the hearts of the sons and the daughters
The kingdom’s coming
Right now I’m stuck on “Only Hope” by Switchfoot. I admit I like Mandy Moore’s cover better, but it’s an awesome song. I’ve watched “A Walk To Remember” a couple of times this week and it’s awesome.
