Hiya, any poets out there?  I’m a poet.  An improper poet.  In fact, a lot of what I write is better described as Pong (1/2 poem + 1/2 song = pong.) haha, I’ve been writing since I was twelve.  So, anyone else?  anyone?

Since so far I’m the only one posting on this subject, I might as well continue telling ya’ll about my own poetry.  For three years I kept it a secret (whether I wanted to or not), but in September 2006 I discovered by watching one of my friends that I could use my poetry at youth group.  That’s when I told my youth leader.  About a month later I said a poem, and it went pretty well.  The second time, however, was at a youth event my church was having. It nearly traumatized me.  I was hesitant to continue with the poetry at all, except one day I felt like I should be doing more at church, and prayed about what I should do.  A few minutes later someone at my church came up to me and asked about my poetry, saying they had enjoyed it before, and encouraged me to continue.  After that I thought “Hey, that’s a good enough answer for me!” So I decided to continue.  I don’t write anything amazing, and I’m not good-looking, and I’m not a good speaker, but God has still blessed me a lot and given me many friends who are very encouraging.

Anyways, that’s all I wanted to say. smile
