I like this idea.  My favorite post is the first Shlog post I ever read and Shaun “had me at hello” with his sense of humor.  He posted the attached “Embracing the seventies” while staying at a hotel near my church the night before his concert and I couldn’t stop laughing when I read it then and again now.

Beth, I think that’s my favorite, too.  Hilarious!

I heart his series. The You Don’t Need Nashville series and Just War series were amazin’!

Although I am new around here, I have found myself spending a lot of time on the Shlog.  I think I may have a low-grade addiction.

I stumbled across the “Two Weeks Ago Today” Series today.  Those posts are life-altering.  If you haven’t read them, you need to.

Those posts are are all linked from this post:

John,

Glad you’re here!  And I’m glad you discovered that series of blog posts.  Really something, huh?  It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year ago already.  It’s scary when a friend goes through something so deeply shaking, so quickly like that.

Nancy, which reminds me, thanks for walking me through those dark days.  I’m sure our phone calls were long and more than a little disjointed, but I remember well how helpful it was just to talk to someone I knew had been through dark days of her own and cared about me too.  Thanks for that.

I’m actually rewriting the You Don’t Need Nashville posts to be syndicated elsewhere soon.  I’l let you know when that happens.

I still need to finish that Just War series don’t I...I got the feeling I was the only who cared so I stopped.  Maybe someday I’ll double back…

You’re so welcome.

Thanks for asking me to take that walk with you. I was so scared for you...but there was still this peace in it that even though you seemed to be in freefall, you were eventually going to land ok.

Still got your back,

I’m with Beth and Cristy on the “Busted in Bama” shlog.  It was quite humorous!
